Card Condition Guide

At First Draw TCG, we follow industry standard grading based on the TCGplayer Card Conditioning Guidelines. Every card is inspected carefully so you know exactly what to expect when you order from us. Below is a clear breakdown of each condition we use.


Near Mint (NM)

Near Mint cards appear clean, crisp, and almost flawless. Minor imperfections may exist but are very small and only visible under close inspection.

May include:

  • Very light surface marks

  • Tiny edge specks

  • Slight natural foil curve (for foils)

Will NOT include:

  • Major scratches

  • Whitening

  • Creases or bends


Lightly Played (LP)

Lightly Played cards show minor wear but still look great in a sleeve.

May include:

  • Small edge whitening

  • Light surface scuffs

  • Minor shuffle wear

Will NOT include:

  • Deep scratches

  • Major creases

  • Heavy whitening


Moderately Played (MP)

Moderately Played cards show noticeable wear but remain fully playable.

May include:

  • Moderate edge wear or whitening

  • Multiple surface scratches

  • Small nicks or binder dings

  • Minor clouding or dirt

Will NOT include:

  • Large creases

  • Structural damage


Heavily Played (HP)

Heavily Played cards show significant wear but are still sleeve‑playable.

May include:

  • Heavy whitening

  • Deep scratches

  • Multiple dings

  • Small creases or bends

  • Surface clouding or grime

  • Rounded corners or border wear

Will NOT include:

  • Damage that makes the card unplayable


Damaged

Damaged cards have major flaws and are sold as‑is. These cards are not tournament‑legal.

May include:

  • Large creases

  • Water damage

  • Tears

  • Ink or writing

  • Missing pieces

  • Severe warping

  • Major bends
